Support Unique Student Leadership Opportunities at UC Irvine

Student Government Student Media oversees five student governments and five student medias, all officially recognized, at UC Irvine. Each area is distinct based on their role at UC Irvine, but have one important thing in common: developing leadership skills through unique opportunities. This can be from advocating and being a voice for others; supporting needs that are important to this; creating a digital history through storytelling and photography; showcasing stories; and having conversations that matter to the community.

To provide support for UC Irvine’s non-commercial, freeform music & community programming radio station since 1969.

To provide support for UC Irvine’s official campus newspaper showcasing student journalism since 1968.

To provide support for UC Irvine’s yearly student-created yearbook, Anthology, that records Anteater history piece-by-piece since 1975.

To provide support for UC Irvine’s student-run visual media organization that produces entertaining content and shares community knowledge & happenings through multi-media.

To provide support for UC Irvine’s collection of independent student magazines that seek to organize distinct student voices around campus.

To provide support for UC Irvine’s official undergraduate governing body. As an autonomous constituency, ASUCI provides a forum for the expression of student views, interests, voices, advocacy, and rights; participating in shared governance; and enhancing the quality of student life and experiences.

To provide support for UC Irvine’s official graduate governing body. As an autonomous constituency, AGS provides a forum for the expression of student views, interests, voices, advocacy, and rights; participating in shared governance; and enhancing the quality of student life and experiences. AGS also supports the graduate student bodies of UC Irvine’s three professional schools – UC Irvine School of Law (SBA), Paul Merage School of Business (MSA), and UC Irvine School of Medicine (AMSG).

To provide support for UC Irvine’s student-driven, campus-based shuttle system that continuously moves toward eco-friendly & sustainable transportation methods throughout UC Irvine and the surrounding community since 1987.
